What is "The First Look"?

Many wedding ideas from the USA have arrived in modern UK weddings, the sand blending ritual is one example.

The “first look” is a big moment in US weddings, where the groom sees the bride for the first time, not necessarily as she walks down the aisle to arrive at the ceremony but sometime before.

I’m not aware this is a developing trend in the UK, but I just love these photos from @ashahphotography where it’s not the groom’s “first look” which is priceless, but it’s the “first look” this lad has of his future step-mum on the day his Dad re-marries.

I just love the way the couple have got this lad totally involved in their wedding.
