Great Exit Ceremony Music

Great exit music at the end of a wedding ceremony is a must. Chel & Dom definitely had one.

Traditionally the final piece of music is called the “recessional” but for me, this sounds a bit mundane.

Instead, I normally recommend to couples to choose an upbeat & celebratory exit song. Not only can the right choice get the newlyweds dancing down the aisle, it has an infectious energy on all your guests too.

Having a live musician is brilliant because they can often perform it in a way that has instant impact. Chel & Dom had Acoustic Nick belting out their exit song.

Alternatively, many couples have recorded music. Sometimes your favourite track might not be the best choice. Ideally it needs to have an explosive start or an instrumental build-up before it gets people rocking.

I operate recorded ceremony music for my couples. An instrumental build-up allows me to talk over the introduction so that the music & exit can be timed perfectly.

If couples struggle finding a suitable exit piece, I share with them a Spotify playlist of examples of tracks previous couples have selected. The range is wide, varied & inspires couples to make their own personal choice.
